The inaugural Lost Shaker of Salt Adventure offered by Margaritaville Travel Adventures in October 2012 was so wildly popular that we are offering three trips during the 2013-2014 season. Margaritaville Travel Adventures, one of Dragonfly Expeditions’ sister companies, is the travel arm of singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Holdings and allows fans, for the first time ever, to enter the world of Jimmy Buffett through travel.
Travel to the places Jimmy frequented or sang about. Meet original characters, view inspiring vistas, and discover nascent dreams as you share your travels with like-minded folk. Expect to make friendships that will last a lifetime.
Our Lost Shaker of Salt Adventure is a celebration of the beauty and uniqueness of the region running from Miami through the Florida Keys to Key West. This area looms large in the realm of adventure, imagination, and song. (Hemingway and hurricanes, pirates and palm trees, sailing ships and seaplanes, margaritas and moonlit waters, sand and serenity…). We intend to give you an insider’s passage through one of the world’s most recognized tropical archipelagos.
One of the main participant worries before the inaugural trip was that it involved group travel with time spent together on a bus – not a single guest on that trip had ever participated in group travel before. To gauge their reactions to this concern, check out the testimonials here. Actions speak louder than words; two couples from the first departure have already signed up for another one!
We are pleased to announce the following departures:
- Fall 2013: $2,395 per person (off-season with mild weather)
- Spring 2014: $2,595 per person (high season with gorgeous weather)
- Summer 2014: $1,995 per person (off-season with warm weather)
The prices are different due to Florida’s tourist seasonality and hotel pricing, but all three trips offer their own charms particular to the time of year in which they occur.
We invite you to come on down to Florida. Be prepared to laugh a lot, kick off your shoes, call the kid in you back for an encore, and bring some friends along who haven’t loosened up in a while. It’s time to get into a Margaritaville state of mind.
